Navy Emblem

On December 21, 1937, in Atlanta, Georgia, Florence & Willie Rose gave birth to a boy. They gave him the name Franklin Eric Rose. And so began the legacy of Frank Rose. At the tender age of sixteen, Frank enlisted in the United States Navy. And after twelve years of service, he was honorably discharged as E-6 Chief Petty Officer. He later met and married Jeanette. He was a loving husband and devoted father. Towering like a tall oak tree rooted in freedom, love, and strength, he nourished his family with unquestionable courage, guidance, and protection. He then began a long and distinguished career in the US Postal Service. During his tenure with the Postal Service, Frank received numerous achievement awards for exemplary service. In 1992 Frank retired from the US Postal Service as Manager, Maintenance Support. After his retirement, he began a third career as a volunteer in the City of Oakland, CA. Up until his death, Frank worked tirelessly for many years for the betterment of the Oakland community, especially for the youth and seniors. He passionately poured his heart out to help at risk young people in the East Oakland community. We sincerely believe that his leadership and efforts were not in vain and his legacy will live on for many years into the distant future.
